After the last couple of weeks of dismal weather it is so nice to be able to look forward to Spring. We're starting to get the odd glimpse of sunshine down in Hampshire! I made this card for a birthday and the image is from a 2012 calendar which I simpley matted onto purple and then yellow card. I used some purple and yellow organza ribbon to 'tie' it all together(!) I'm beginning to enjoy this recycling game!
A few words about me...time for an update! I'm a married stay at home mum with 2 children and I'm the right side of 50 (not that there's anything wrong with the other side and God willing I'll find out soon enough!) . I've been making cards for around 10 years now. I started when my daughter began receiving invites to birthday parties when she started pre-school (she's in secondary school now!). My card making goes in phases - I either seem to be very productive or very unproductive! My favourite cards to make are Christmas ones and I love that I found a hobby that allows me to indulge in a little bit of Christmas every day. It's not unusual for me to play Christmas tunes on the hottest day of the year - I think after 13 years my neighbours are used to it!
