Another 16th birthday card for one of my daughter's friends. The topper is from a Hunkydory paper pad and I glittered the edges using a Quickie Glue Pen and Glamour Dust. The cardstock is Hunkydory and I made the 'card candy' from the same card. The sentiment and numbers have been cut in black Hunkydory Adorable Scorable card and both use dies by Crafter's Companion. This is my first entry to challenge 50 on the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog which was simply called Girly!

First post for 2017
After a really difficult 2016 I'm back! I made the cards I needed to last year but didn't photograph many as everything was upside down and back to front due to having a house extension built, which is much larger than I thought it was going to be.
This card was made for one of my daughter's friends - they're all turning 16 so I've become quite expert at 16th cards recently!
The focal image is from the Hunkydory Little Book of Milestone birthdays - it's amazing how these Little Books are far more versatile than you initially think. I embossed a piece of light blue Adorable Scorable cardstock with an Embossalicious embossing folder and matted it onto a darker shade of Adorable Scorable. The butterflies and sentiment are from Sara's Signature collections (Butterfly Lullaby and Birthday) and I added some sparkle to the numbers with some Stickles (every 16 year old girl loves a bit of sparkle!)

50th Birthday Card
This card was for my sister in law who, probably reluctantly, celebrates her 50th birthday today. I used paper and dies from the new Crafter's Companion Sara Davies Signature Range. Very pretty papers and a lovely font for the happy birthday die, elegant but not too fussy. I used the largest die to create the aperture and embossed the front panel in the corner. I cut the 50 and the Happy Birthday in both silver and lilac and offset them slightly to form a drop shadow. I always find it hard to photograph mirri card successfully but hopefully you get the idea!

Pre-teen Boys Birthday Card
These pre-teen and teen boys cards are really hard! You can get away with cute and fluffy for girls or there are sassy girl images in abundance but not very much for boys from age 9 upwards. This sheet is from Crafts U Print. I printed it on to semi gloss photo paper which helped with the colour and kept the borders looking like mirri card. I embossed some dark blue Centura Pearl cardstock from Crafter's Companion with a criss cross pattern and added the backing paper and toppers from the printed sheet. I used foam pads to give some lift to the toppers.

Barkley
This card was from a Crafter's Companion kit and was so easy and quick to assemble - perfect for when my daughter mentions in passing that it's someone's birthday "tomorrow" and have I got a card please! Fortunately this isn't too cute for a 13 year old girl apparently!

Banish The Blues
This is one of my favourite sheets from Crafts U Print. Once printed on to Crafter's Companion Neenah cardstock I put the background on to a card blank made from pale peach adorable scoreable card and decoupaged the letters. I used some yellow seed beads on the flower centres (stuck with glossy accents) and then added some beady eyes to the 2 owls just for a bit of fun. This card is for my daughter's friend who will be entering those teenage years!
I would like to enter this card in to Cute Card Thursday's "Banish The Blues" challenge. That will be the first challenge of 2014 for me!

Mulberry Wood
This card was a first for me! I used a CD to print the images. I've been having a little play with CD's for a while but the images don't usually make it as far as a card.
I made this for my sister's birthday back in June and it's from the Crafter's Companion Mulberry Wood everyday collection. I printed the images onto Centura Pearl cardstock (which is why they probably don't look very clear - in real life it gives a beautiful effect). I embossed some pale yellow pealescent card with some swirls and mounted on to a DL card blank. The tags were stuck down using some double sided tape and then I used some glitter brads in corresponding colours at the top of each tag.

Pretty in Pink
I made this card using the Mulberry Wood Everyday collection by Crafter's Companion. The images in this collection are just so cute that I love working with them. The toppers already have the gold foiled border and the pink background card comes with the striped corner so I feel a bit of a cheat as there's not much actual crafting but sometimes you just need something quick.
