This was a first for me - I used acetate to make a card base. The toppers were from Hunkydory. Just had to make sure that the workings were hidden by using the exact same size of plain card/insert on the other side.
A few words about me...time for an update! I'm a married stay at home mum with 2 children and I'm the right side of 50 (not that there's anything wrong with the other side and God willing I'll find out soon enough!) . I've been making cards for around 10 years now. I started when my daughter began receiving invites to birthday parties when she started pre-school (she's in secondary school now!). My card making goes in phases - I either seem to be very productive or very unproductive! My favourite cards to make are Christmas ones and I love that I found a hobby that allows me to indulge in a little bit of Christmas every day. It's not unusual for me to play Christmas tunes on the hottest day of the year - I think after 13 years my neighbours are used to it!
